Next Steps:

At Redwood, we want to make sure students are equipped with everything they need to discover their learning potential.

To do this, we have a clear step-by-step process to get your child started with their intervention journey.

1. Choose Your Content Area
Redwood serves students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Start by selecting which content area your child needs the most support with: reading, writing, or math.
2. Choose Your Desired Schedule
Once you choose your content area, you will be taken to a page with a list of available instructors and their availability. You can browse instructor bios and schedules to find the right match for your child's schedule. If you want our thought partnership on which instructor or curriculum to choose, book a call with our Admissions team so we can help.
3. Book Sessions
Once you've selected the instructor whose profile and availability match your child's, book as many sessions as you want to get started. There is a minimum of 10 sessions, and we highly recommend you book at least three months' worth of twice-weekly sessions to begin seeing real results.
4. Fill Out The New Explorer Form
Once you've booked your sessions, you will get a Welcome Email with a New Explorer Form. Please set aside 30-60 minutes to complete this form in detail. The more information you share with us about your child's academic history and your goals for them, the quicker your child's instructor can get to teaching.

If at any point in this enrollment process you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck, don't hesitate to book a call with our Admission team or send us an email at admissions@redwoodliteracy.com.

Does online tutoring actually work for kids with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia?

Yes! We've worked with an independent researcher since providing online services (2020), and the results are clear. Online tutoring is just as effective as in-person tutoring on average for our student population. If, after the three-month mark, we determine that online instruction is not working for your child, we will be transparent. It usually takes a bit of time to build rapport and learn the online tutoring structure, so be prepared for an adjustment period.
